2 Hour Express Through Paint Emotion Art Therapy + Breathwork Small Group Taster

Description:

Welcome to our transformative workshop taster, where the power of art becomes a tool for reconnecting with your authentic self, and the breathwork opens the heart.

Emotion art therapy utilises the profound ability of artistic expression to delve into your innermost thoughts and emotions that reside beneath the surface. In this nurturing space, you are guided and fully supported to unlock a new toolkit for release and self-discovery. Beyond the canvas, the act of creating art transcends boundaries, fostering a deeper understanding of yourself and the world around you.

We reveal that painting is more than a beautiful experience; it’s a journey that positively impacts various aspects of life. Regardless of age, it encourages the freedom to express yourself without judgment, release inhibitions and fosters understanding and connection.

This workshop helps you to explore your emotions through art, and utilise the visual arts for processing emotions to facilitate self-expression and communication with the goal of improving psychological wellbeing.

Creating a connection to the breath & the body harnesses its own natural healing power. Combine with sound & a fully-guided script for a powerful toolkit of healing & transformation. Release unprocessed emotion & restore balance in the body.

Transformational breathing is an umbrella term for methods that direct awareness to the breath. These methods have the goal of improving breathing, or the primary goal can be to build mindfulness. Human respiration is controlled consciously or unconsciously. The connected pattern of Transformational breathing is a natural, safe and easy–to-learn technique.

This workshop seamlessly integrates two halves of breathwork and art to facilitate expression in new, profound ways. Join us on this transformative path of self-discovery and creative expression.

What to bring for the breathwork:

• Please wear comfortable, warm clothing as the body temperature often drops during breathwork

• It is recommend bringing something to rest your head on and a blanket to keep warm.

• Bring any extra props to support your rest practice if you would like (such as yoga blocks, cushions, bolsters or an eye pillow).

• Yoga mats are available, but please bring your own if you wish to create an extra soft space.

Julie
Julie’s journey from the corporate world to education highlights her passion for helping others and making a difference in their lives. After working in sales and marketing for many years, she transitioned to education and training of young people and adults, eventually becoming a Deputy Head specialising in pastoral care. Her experience in supporting students and their families through challenging times such as substance abuse, mental health struggles, and financial difficulties has taught her the importance of authentic connections.
Recognising the value of building meaningful relationships based on truth and care, Julie started the Art of Connection with a former colleague. Through this initiative, they aim to support people in connecting with themselves and others, helping them embrace their most authentic selves. This can contribute significantly to personal growth and happiness. By offering guidance, workshops, and resources, the Art of Connection helps individuals develop the skills and understanding needed to form genuine connections with others, leading to a more fulfilling and satisfying life.

Rosie
It’s inspiring to hear about Rosie’s passion for helping people and how it has led to the creation of “The Art of Connection.” The power of human connections cannot be overstated, and it’s heartening to know that there are people out there dedicated to helping others experience that same sense of connection and fulfilment.
Art is a unique and wonderful way to express emotions that cannot always be captured in words, and it’s amazing to hear how it has helped you personally. It’s true that sometimes during tough times, we need to rely on our connections with others to get through them, and art can be a valuable tool for understanding and connecting with ourselves.

“The Art of Connection” is a truly transformative experience, one that can deepen relationships and foster understanding between loved ones. It is a space where people can come together to explore the power of art and connections, and we hope that many will be able to benefit from this wonderful initiative.
